5 I have had a cheapo knock off tool for many years. I finally treated myself to the real deal and it’s so much better. The blade alone is a revelation. I could never get the knock off one to hold an edge, this is razor sharp. Ted Waldron

3 I’m giving the multi tool itself 5* but the leather sheath 1*. I expect a lifetime of use from the tool and expected 3-5 yrs from the sheath, instead after 4weeks the stitching started to fray badly - not impressed. My option is to get it over stitched for which multi tool offered 10% discount but this shouldn’t be necessary. For @ £17 extra paid for the leather sheath vs the nylon it and the stitching should be more robust and needs addressing. Anonymous

3 Reasonable happy with the item, it is well equipped and does have a quality feel however I would have expected the screwdriver attachments to have a secure locking mechanism, unfortunately the wingman doesn't. All this means that if you apply too much pressure to any of the screwdriver bits they fold leaving you with sore knuckles and crushed fingers!!!! My previous tool, which was a cheaper Gerberer Suspension securely locks all its tools leaving me to ask the question as to why the more expensive tool DOES NOT? Erkan

3 I like the Leatherman solid build and smart appearance but this model disappoints in some respects. Scissors don’t spring back which makes them a bit awkward to use and the blades are not a tight scissor action. Knife is a bit short. 5 I upgraded from a Leatherman Fuse to a Wingman. I had the Fuse for 15+ years and used it every day. Great piece of kit but the updated multitools are on another level altogether. The Wingman is a superbly engineered tool with the same features as the older Fuse. I particularly like how the scissors and knife are on the "outside" of the tool so that you don't need to open the tool to access them. The knife is gorgeous. I also like the sprung pliers that open on their own. I would not buy anything but Leatherman. Anonymous

5 An excellent pocket tool by Leatherman and of their usual high quality. Although supplied with a pocket clip it borders on being large enough and heavy enough for some to carry it in a belt pouch. The locking knife blade which is accessible without opening up the tool is very useful but makes it awkward with regard to British knife laws which means it can only be carried with lawful authority or reasonable excuse (so familiarise yourself with what is acceptable to avoid probems). The scissors are also accessible without opening the tool which is handy but the scissors could be improved with a spring action as the lack of this makes them a little awkward to use in some situations. The spring loaded pliers/cutters are very useful and make the tool very handy to use. It should be noted that only the single knife blade locks with the other tools only held by friction. The tools cover most eventualities although the Phillips screwdriver blade is of the 'flattened' variety rather than a full Phillips head which may not suit everyone's tastes. it is however very practical. Overall a very useful pocket tool worthy of the Leatherman name and image of quality. Jeremy Howells
