4An outstanding addition to the Leatherman multitool range.
It does exactly what a realistic person would want it to. I you are looking for a heavy duty screwdriver aid.....use a power tool driver.
If this is used as intended, its brilliant! Very well put together, fits perfectly and not too much play. Pricey yes. But as the old saying goes, 'You get what you pay for.'Anthony

5So far it has proven more than double it's worth. Purchased it just before a long motorcycle trip across 4 countries and just before moving house. I did almost all jobs around the house, on the motorcycle and most importantly during our trip just by using Leatherman. This extension helped change a daunting and slow task into something efficient...and that was very much needed when critical bolts came lose off the bike and when I had to fix something in the middle of some of the worst thunderstorms I have ever seen in my life. Well done to Leatherman for coming up with this much needed extension!! THANK YOU!!Daniel Borg

5Screwdrivers on penknives are a handy feature to apply a fastener without going to your toolbox. So is a ratchet drive really necessary? Well having used it, it does make those moments a bit easier. It has 46 positive pawls in a full turn and that really helps in a tight spot to tighten or loosen. There's a ratchet lock too, which seems a bit superfluous as you could just take it off. There's one issue with it . How do you carry it? Because if you don't, it's pointless. I sewed on a couple of fine velcro tabs to the side of my Leatherman pouch. Solid. I sewed on some elastic to the other side to hold my extension bar ages ago. Also works. tip- the velcro tabs were from velcro cable ties.John Muncaster

This new version fits in the larger wave plus nylon holder with my AAA torch on the other side and two bit sets in the holder behind the multitool. One thing I discovered is that standard driver bits fit better in this version than the previous bit extender. Good upgrade.Mark Langdown

Any Leatherman tool or knife with a large bit driver will accept this magnetic ratchet bit holder. Allows for secure placement of any Leatherman flat bits from the bit kit, as well as standard bits with a compact ratcheting system. The ratchet allows for one directional movement whilst restricting the opposite direction, allowing for easy screwing and unscrewing.
