I have been using my for a few years and put it through all sorts of demanding tasks when the right tools aren't available. It has yet to fail me :)
This was the second leatherman surge I purchased from the multi-tool store. The first was my own and this one is a gift for my Dad's birthday. I wanted to get him something he could use every day and that would last years. This seemed like the perfect gift.
The plyers on the tool are great and come with replaceable cutters so you don't feel bad putting them to work. The t-shank connector is incredibly versatile as you can use standard t-shank jigsaw bits to cut through all types of material in a pinch!
